At Uptown Chemist, we are committed to providing personalized, high-quality hand-crafted compounds and concierge retail mediations and services; including highly customized compounds, Provider proprietary formulations, and special-order medications and over the counter supplements and health products. To streamline operations and ensure efficient service, we require a valid credit credit to be securely stored on file for certain transactions. Please review our payment policy below.
1. Cards on File
A valid credit card is required to be kept on file for the following:
Highly Customized Compounds
One-Off Formulations
Special Orders (prescription or OTC items not regularly stocked)
Non-returnable Over-the-Counter (OTC) Products
Shipments
Local Delivery
Cards will be securely stored using PCI-compliant payment processing systems. We do not retain card data in any paper or non-encrypted format.
2. HSA/FSA Cards and Secondary Payment Methods
If an HSA/FSA card is your primary payment method, it is required to have a secondary form of payment (credit card) on file.
In cases where a charge is denied or partially approved by the HSA/FSA card:
The secondary card will be automatically charged for the remaining balance or full amount as necessary.
This ensures prompt order fulfillment and prevents delays.
3. Prepayment Requirements
Customized compounds and special orders (outside our normal catalog of compounds) require full payment prior to preparation or ordering. Our team of technicians will communicate if any compounds you are prescribed fall under this category, during the processing call.
Once an item is compounded or specially ordered, it cannot be canceled or refunded unless due to pharmacy error.
4. Authorization and Consent
By choosing to fill prescriptions or place orders that fall under this policy, the patient (or legal guardian):
Authorizes Uptown Chemist to charge the card(s) on file for the relevant amounts.
Acknowledges understanding that certain charges may not be covered by insurance or HSA/FSA and will be the patient's responsibility.
Agrees to update any expired or invalid cards promptly.
5. Declined Payments
In the event of a declined payment:
The order will be placed on hold until a valid form of payment is provided.
Repeated failed transactions may result in account restrictions.
6. Confidentiality & Security
All payment data is stored in strict compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
We do not sell or share your payment information with any third parties.
If you have any questions about this policy or would like to update your stored payment information, please contact us at hello@uptownchemist.com
